my roots
I'm a first-generation Cambodian American, born and raised in SoCal. Growing up, my parents taught me the importance of hard work, community, and kindness. I continue to carry these values with me wherever I go.
what I used to do
I used to work as a Staff Civil Engineer for water, wastewater, and sewer projects across California.
what i do now
Today, I'm a Product Designer at Parsons, building design systems and designing new digital experiences.
off the clock
When I'm not working, you can usually find me dancing/freestyling, gaming, or on my next food adventure with family/friends!
Being open-minded, continuously learning, and designing with intention are core values that shape who I am as a designer.
Putting yourself in someone else's shoes allows space for new perspectives.
In whichever aspect, there are always opportunities to learn and improve.
Whether it's the details or a holistic vision, every element has purpose.
From civil engineering -> product design, I've brought along a set of skills that have helped shape how I approach design problems.
Applying problem-solving skills to identify user needs, address pain points, and create effective design solutions.
Leveraging precision in design and testing, recognizing that minor design choices can impact user experiences.
A systems thinking approach helps me understand the holistic user journey and different product interactions.
Using user data and analytics to refine designs, optimize user flows, and create usable, useful experiences.
Collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
Strategic management of design sprints, task prioritization, and timely delivery within the scope of the project.
A working compilation of resources stored along my career journey.
